Job Description:

The Buckhannon Alliance Church of the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination is seeking a Spirit-Filled Youth Pastor to help spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Buckhannon, WV. This individual will oversee and develop a youth ministry for middle and high school ages which reaches the youth in our community, leads them into a relationship with Jesus Christ and encourages and exemplifies a closer and deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

Characteristics and Qualifications:

The Youth Pastor must have the ability and heartfelt desire to love, nurture and minister to young people for Christ. In addition to the ability to develop meaningful relationships with youth, we are looking for an individual who shows teamwork, initiative, and organizational skills. The individual must be able to manage his time effectively and must possess excellent communication skills. The individual must have the ability to effectively minister to the parents of teenagers, serving as a resource to aid them as they strive to raise godly children. It is very important that our Youth Pastor be able to maintain a Christ like character and be in agreement with the teachings outlined in the Bible. We are asking the Youth Pastor to commit to at least a two-year period of service. The Youth Pastor will have at his resource a family center containing one full size gymnasium with adequate classroom space, sitting on 31 acres of land with a pavilion, softball field, and walking trails.

Minimum Educational Requirement: Bachelor's Degree. Seminary trained candidates for this position will receive preference. Consideration will be given to candidates with relevant experience in youth ministry and some formal training, or working towards an education in youth ministry.

Immediate Supervisor: Senior Pastor for weekly meetings and elder board

Compensation: Two-thousand square foot Parsonage with all utilities paid with compensation according to work related experience and education.
